The inmates at APN Educational Trust are provided Skill Development Training that helps them lead a life on their own.
He, a tailor who belongs to Sirkali is separated from his family due to some misunderstandings lost his job due to COVID-19 lockdown. He also had the habit of consuming alcohol and cigarettes. He was recovered by APN Trust from Government Hospital, Erode and provided him food and accommodation during the pandemic period. He was also provided with a tailoring machine which helps him use his skill to earn an amount for his living. APN Trust also helped him rejoin with his wife and children.
APN Educational Trust is aiming to set up a comprehensive programme for skill development for beggars, homeless and destitute people to provide basic livelihood opportunities to them. Learning a new skill will broaden the opportunities, at the same time empower one as an individual. Skill training not only provides skills in a particular area, but trains them to build and enhance networking, time management and communication. We help them improve their skills by teaching them various techniques such as making Paper bags and Paper plates, Tailoring, etc.,
